After graduating and moving to Charlotte, McKenzie has grown to love her new city lifestyle, both in and outside of work. "I was fortunate enough to have fieldwork experience at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center while in OT school,” she says. “I had an amazing mentor and fell in love with Atrium Health. I knew I wanted to stay working for Atrium Health after my clinical rotation. Eli enjoys hiking, fishing, paddle boarding and exploring the local greenways around Charlotte. "On my days off you can find me working on woodworking projects, hiking/backpacking or planning my next adventure with my wife,” he says. “Born and raised in Charlotte, one of the things I love most about our area is that we are so close to so much. Paulo has built a well-rounded life for himself in Charlotte as a karate instructor, avid hiker and valued member of Atrium Health. "Charlotte has been my home since I’ve moved from the Philippines,” he says. “I have met countless people and friends throughout my life. It has taught me how to be open minded on everyone’s culture and beliefs, especially working at Atrium Health, which has also taught me the values of patience, respect and confidence in dealing with peers and patients."
