Overview

Job Summary

Develops and manages a complex portfolio of strategic projects and initiatives. Recommends methodologies and frameworks to advance strategic initiatives. Provides consultation, facilitation, and portfolio management to assist organizational Leaders in developing and executing System strategies. May lead Enterprise Strategy Partners in tracking and preparing standards, tools and resources and partners in department continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Functions

  • Leads teammates in the development of insightful observations and analysis to develop strategic insights in support of strategy development and execution functions.
  • Facilitates teams to develop and execute complex strategic objectives, initiatives, or projects.
  • Writes, depicts and presents deliverables for various audiences within the System.
  • Develops recommendations and manages the creation of deliverables to assist ESP and the organization in maintaining industry and market intelligence on local, regional and national healthcare issues impacting the System.
  • Provides guidance to teammates on the formulation of economic model analyses, market analysis, and industry analysis in support of strategic projects.
  • Operates an ESP internal subject matter expert on a body of work critical to strategic and operational project success.
  • Develops strategy related management action plans (MAP).
  • Plans and manages complex projects and portfolios.
  • Identifies best practices and provides recommendations for the application of best practices.
  • Demonstrates excellent inter professional communication following Atrium Health’s Culture Commitments. 
  • Provides guidance to associates related to project work and deliverables.

 

Physical Requirements

Primarily works from home / remotely but has access to and may be required to work in an office environment.  Work requires sitting at a desk, working on a computer, talking on the telephone, and preparing reports and other statistical data in an office environment. Must be able to stand, walk and travel in personal car to other facilities. Work also requires the carrying up to 20 pounds of materials (files, projectors, laptops). Able to work rapidly and accurately under pressure.

 

Education, Experience and Certifications

Bachelor’s Degree in healthcare or business-related field required, Master’s Degree preferred. Prior experience with a healthcare consulting firm, large complex health system, academic health system preferred. 5 years of industry experience required; 6 or more years’ experience preferred. Excellent communications skills, both written and oral. Must understand healthcare financial and statistical data. Possess good analytical abilities with sufficient attention to detail. Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
