Financial Planning Analyst

Overview

The Financial Analyst supports Atrium Health Floyd Medical Group leadership in managing the finances of the medical group operations. This position will partner closely with the Finance team to manage the accounting functions of the medical group. This role will also participate in administering physician and APP compensation plans.

Essential role specific duties include:

• Prepares financial summaries for assistance in decision making
• Updates financial dashboards monthly and quarterly
• Measures financial performance relative to budget
• Prepares, analyzes, and discusses Medical Group revenue and expense data
• Develops strong familiarity with medical provider contracts and compensation structures
• Populates and updates medical provider compensation statements
• Assists with graphs and presentation materials
• Supports the enterprise strategic planning process

Qualifications:

A. Education:

1. Bachelor's degree is required

2. Degree in business, finance, or related business field preferred

B. Experience:

1. Experience in an accounting or finance role or equivalent education

2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically proficient in Microsoft Excel or comparable spreadsheet software

3. Understanding of financial and statistics
