School Nurse - Full time Days

Minimum Requirements:
 

1. Education: Must be a High School or GED Diploma Graduate. Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college or University required, Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred with focus in Child-health, pediatrics, school health or similar specialty area.
2. Experience: Minimum of one year of pediatric nursing experience. Experience working with economically disadvantaged population preferred.
3. Certification/License/Registration: Current valid Georgia Nursing license, CPR.
4. Position Titles and Number Supervised: LPNs, number supervised varies according to yearly budget.

Performs duties under the guidance of the Director of Ambulatory Health Services and supervised by the School Nurse Program Coordinator. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing services to students in the public school system. Requires independent action, creativity, initiate, critical thinking, collaboration, interpersonal, communication/public relation skills with a high degree of visibility, confidentiality, and flexibility in the community setting.
