Blood Utilization & Mgmt Program Coord Blood Bank (RN)

Overview

What you will do:
This position is responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of the Blood Utilization and Management Program (B.U.M.P.). Works in collaboration with Quality, Risk Management, Medical Staff, Lab/Blood Bank, Pharmacy, Nursing and Patient Care Services Leadership, and the Blood Utilization Committee (B.U.C. in order to meet the set goals. Facilitates the appropriate use of blood products as defined by evidence-based transfusion indicators and promote optimal safety of transfusion processes. 

What you will need:
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor's Degree in healthcare related field (Nursing or Medical Lab Science)
Five (5) years clinical experience
Practical experience development and implementation of blood utilization management strongly preferred
Current State of Georgia license as a Registered Nurse or Medical Technologist (certified by ASCP)
Registered Nurse preferred
