Overview

The Customer Service Specialist I assist patients or other parties contacting the CBO with billing questions via telephone and facilitates transfer to other CBO representatives when appropriate. The Specialist analyzes and uses problem solving techniques to address incoming questions or concerns. In addition to managing inbound CBO call volume, this role may also be expected to process incoming mail.

ROLE SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages incoming call volume for business office; supports billing inquiries by either resolving or facilitating transfer to appropriate team member
  • Processes incoming mail
  • Communicates with patients, insurance companies or other parties contacting the CBO to address questions or concerns
  • Documents and reports interactions appropriately and follows up on tasks
  • Strives for a positive customer service experience
  • Maintains reception desk/work areas
  • Complies with all federal, state, or other regulatory requirements.
  • Adheres to Floyd Healthcare Management Inc. organizational policies and procedures for relevant location and job scope.
  • Assists with other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
