Job Summary
Oversees the nursing division of the college, to include the associate degree program and all classes/courses taught under the auspices of the school of nursing. Manages full-time and part-time nursing faculty and appropriate support personnel. Manages the academic unit, to include: fiscal responsibility, curriculum development and course delivery, program assessment and improvement, adherence to approval and accreditation bodies' requirements, document preparation, and maintenance of high-quality programs which serve the needs of the college, the students, the healthcare system, and the community.
Essential Functions
Office, and travel time; majority of time distributed between intra and extra facility. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts, pushes, pulls and carries items weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires some exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids, toxic substances, medicinal reparations and other conditions common to clinical environment. Sitting, including typing, telephone communication inter and intra-departmental. Responsible for working in a safe manner.
