Overview
HIM SPECIALIST-Release of Information
Reviews images scanned and imported into the electronic document management system for proper image quality, verifies demographics, indexing documents to the correct patient level, correct encounter level and correct document level.
Education, Training, and Experience
- Minimum high school diploma/GED.
- HIM experience preferred, but not required.
- Students enrolled in HIM/HIT programs also qualify.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, computer skills, good verbal communication skills, detail oriented.
