Our team currently consists of 7 Psychologist and an excellent clinical support team.

All kids deserve the chance to feel like kids. For children with medically complex conditions, it’s not always easy. Atrium Health Levine Children’s pediatric psychologists help patients with complex medical conditions and their families to understand how patients can be feeling emotionally and why they might face challenges at home or school. Then we help them find healthy ways to cope, so they can feel and be their very best. We are excited to announce a new Inpatient Psychotherapist role to our team.

Position Overview:

  • Works collaboratively with medical director and colleagues to develop and advance system and division goals
  • Works collaboratively with inpatient unit team to create, schedule and carry out therapeutic programming for patients on the unit
  • Develops, implements, evaluates, and documents patient care and education according to identified needs
  • Writes appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age and clinical presentation
  • Collaborates with appropriate guardians and community agencies to insure effective service delivery
  • Working hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 ( with flexibility as this is an inpatient unit)

Position Requirements:

  • Master's degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited school of graduate education required
  • Licensed or license-eligible in NC with one of the following licenses:
    • LCSW
    • LMFT
    • LCMHC
    • LPA
  • Experience working with children and adolescents with a variety of psychiatric diagnoses such as:  depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, and trauma.
  • Inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
  • Minimal 2 years of experience
