The Cardiology Team at Congdon Heart and Vascular Center in High Point, NC is eager to expand - we are in search of a skilled Cardiac Sonographer III to become a part of our family.

Position Highlights: 

  • Shift Schedule: Full-Time, Rotating 4 10-hour day shifts during the week + every fifth Saturday; on-call rotation responsibilities
  • Incentive:  Eligible candidates can receive up to $15,000 bonus.
  • Relocation Assistance: Enjoy up to $3,000 in relocation expenses, provided the candidate meets the eligibility requirements. Paid within the first 30 days of employment.
  • Location: Congdon Heart and Vascular Center in High Point, NC (on the campus of High Point Medical Center)

What You’ll Need:

  • Associate Degree in Cardiac Sonography
  • Current BLS certification
  • Valid Cardiac Sonographer Registration, ACS or RCS through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.  Required to be registered within 1 year of hire in Cardiology Specialties.
  • 1 year of patient-related experience
  • Proficient communication skills with diverse age groups and skill levels, and able to foster positive working relationships.
  • Aptitude for mentoring fellow sonographers' and trainees’ work.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively & make sound decisions in high-stress settings that require multitasking, organization, and prioritization while maintaining composure.

Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  1. Conduct Quality Scans: Provide echocardiogram services across various locations and schedules as needed; proficiently perform a range of scans as requested, adhering to protocols. 
  2. Maintain Records: Report accurate data and analyze patient records, maintain confidentiality of files, and effectively explain procedures to patients and their families, in developmentally appropriate terms.
  3. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement exercises and evaluates technical data, implementing changes as needed to improve quality, accuracy, and patient outcomes.
  4. Cultivate Relationships:  Promote a collaborative work environment within department; responsible for mentoring students and other staff members as requested. 
  5. Responsible for Equipment: Operate equipment needed for procedures and perform routine cleaning & minor maintenance on equipment as needed; report malfunctions to manager.
