We are currently seeking a full-time experienced Family Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Atrium Health Occupational Medicine-Gastonia location.

Current Opening: 

• Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Occupational Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Urgent Care

• Must have experience as a provider performing laceration repair.

• Schedule: M-F 730a-430p, 1200p-100p lunch, no nights or weekends; minimal call responsibility

• Additional staff may include: 2 CMAs and 1 Radiology Technician

• Practice sees the following visit types in-person: drug and alcohol screening, pre-employment/post-offer physicals, surveillance physicals, DOT, respiratory clearance exams, fit testing, spirometry, audiograms, workers’ compensation injuries and illnesses, blood work for employment surveillance, tuberculosis screening, Covid testing and vaccination, tetanus and Hep B vaccines, bloodborne pathogen exposures. This location will not serve patients indoors that are ill.

• Telemedicine opportunity: This location will perform telemedicine visits to support our occ health embedded nurses, stationed at local and remote employer locations, and employers that request this service. These visits will include acute episodic care, workers’ comp injuries and illnesses, and occasional primary care needs.

• NC Licensure and DEA (mandatory), SC Licensure (optional)

• American Heart Association BLS

• Must be able to work as a solo provider.
