Overview
The Clinical Documentation and Improvement Manager plans, supervises and coordinates daily clinical documentation activities. Provides timely and quality services related to CDI to Administration, medical staff and other department personnel, and entities. Acts as a liaison between CDS and Coders for education and DRG Mismatches. Responsible for the supervision, coordination, and participation in concurrent accurate coding of diagnosis, procedure, and DRG codes from medical records in accordance with federal, state, local and American Hospital Association coding guidelines, while focusing on both high quality and productivity, ensuring specificity is applied to obtain appropriate and optimal reimbursement.
Shift details: This position is remote, candidates must reside or be willing to relocate to Georgia. Shift time is 8:30a - 5p.

What you will need:
Associates degree in Nursing, BSN preferred.
Current valid Georgia nursing license or eNLC nursing license
Three (3) to Five (5) years of acute care nursing experience in acute care hospital, preferably ICU and/or Med/Surg experience
Must have functioned in role of Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist
Previous supervisory or charge experience.
Must have CDS certification or obtain and maintain CCDS within one (1) year of employment. (ACDIS rules require at least two (2) years of CDI experience prior to taking the certification exam)
