This position is sign on bonus eligible! Experienced RNs are eligible for a bonus of $15,000 for full time positions and $7,500 for part time positions. 11A Trauma Step-Down is a 24-bed unit that provides care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. 11A is considered an Intermediate Level Medical-Surgical floor. With telemetry and continuous pulse oximetry capabilities, the unit can care for many types of patients, however, the unit’s specialty is the trauma patient. Patients typically seen on 11A are those with traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, chest & abdominal trauma (blunt force or penetrating), and orthopedic injuries resulting from trauma. Carolinas Medical Center is the region’s only Level 1 trauma center and 11A trauma step down is proud to care for this unique patient population.
Atrium Health’s Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is the flagship hospital of Atrium Health, which is distinguished throughout the Southeastern United States for its excellent patient care and medical expertise. CMC serves as the region’s only Level 1 Trauma center, is Magnet-designated, and also an approved transplant center for heart, kidney, pancreas and liver. Job Summary
The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
