Wound Care nurses provide professional nursing care for patients with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulae, pressure ulcers, special tubes or dressings according to State Board of Nursing Practice Act, American Nursing Association Code of Ethics and standards of practice and professional performance. Responsible for assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation and evaluation for patients served. As an active participant in decisions related to patient care and nursing practice, serves as educator, colleague, researcher, advocate and leader. Must demonstrate competency in assuring quality care, Process Improvement, patient and employee safety, collaboration, consultation and professional development. Assumes responsibility for planning, organizing, delegating and evaluating patient care rendered by RN/LPNs, technicians, and other staff. This position is day shift; Monday - Friday - no weekends or holidays!
What you will need:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing.
Current valid Georgia nursing license or eNLC nursing license
Minimum one (1) year nursing experience.
Board Certification in Wound or Ostomy by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) at hire or must obtain a Board Certification in Wound or Ostomy by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) within 24 months of hire if BSN – if ASN within 48 months of hire.
