Our team currently consists of 7 Psychologist and an excellent clinical support team.

All kids deserve the chance to feel like kids. For children with medically complex conditions, it’s not always easy. Atrium Health Levine Children’s pediatric psychologists help patients with complex medical conditions and their families to understand how patients can be feeling emotionally and why they might face challenges at home or school. Then we help them find healthy ways to cope, so they can feel and be their very best. We are excited to announce a new Psychotherapist role to our team.  

Position Overview:
•    Develops, implements, evaluates, and documents patient care and education according to identified needs
•    Writes appropriate treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age and clinical presentation 
•    Writes appropriate discharge plans based on individual needs of client and follows through with termination process
•    Collaborates with appropriate guardians and community agencies to insure effective service delivery
•    Completes accurate and timely billing information
•    Average patient load of 30 patients per week
•    Appointments will be in-person and virtual
•    Office hours: Monday-Friday 8:00-5:00 (with potential for some flexibility)

Position Requirements:
•    Master's degree in a relevant human services field such as Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited school of graduate education required 
•    Licensed or license-eligible in NC (SC licensure a plus)
•    Minimal 2 years of experience
•    Experience working with patients with complex medical conditions such as: cancer, blood disorders, kidney disease, neurological conditions, cystic fibrosis, or gastroenterology
