Position Overview:

The Department of Pathology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist/Wake Forest University School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Forensic Pathologist that will support the work of Medical Examiners Autopsy service. Provider should be board certified/eligible. 

Department Description:

The Department of Pathology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine is the academic and clinical hub for laboratory services in the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health System.  With over 45 clinical and research faculty members, we have expertise in the breadth of anatomic and clinical pathology subspecialties and are engaged in clinical, translational, and basic research.  Our residency, fellowship, and allied health educational programs help train the next generation of laboratorians and researchers.  We are the academic center of the Atrium Health Enterprise Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service and partner with over 50 additional pathologists and clinical laboratory scientists in our growing Enterprise.  Our vision is to be a nationally recognized premier diagnostic and academic pathology and laboratory medicine service by leveraging its expertise through research, education and innovation to provide timely, high value, and quality services for all. 

Candidate Qualifications and/or Preferences:

• MD or MD/PhD
• Board certification 
• North Carolina licensure or eligible, if applicable
