Overview
This position is Sign-on Bonus eligible. Experienced RNs with a minimum of 1 year of experience are eligible for a bonus of $10,000 for Full Time positions, and $5,000 for Part Time positions. The Vascular Access Team (VAT/IV Team) cover a variety of inpatient areas, including Medical-Surgical, Critical Care, Maternity, and others. Services include peripheral IV (PIV) insertions, ultrasound-guided PIVs, midlines insertions, PICC lines, central line repairs, outpatient infusions, and port access/de-access (includes Power Ports and Apheresis Ports). VAT teammates work with both adult and pediatric patient. Additional responsibilities will include patient rounding, line audits, teammate/peer education and front-line teammate support. BSN & VA-BC and/or CRNI certification preferred or must be obtained within two years of hire date. Two years or more experience with PIV and/or midline insertions strongly preferred, previous experience with infusions strongly preferred.
Job Summary
The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
