Overview

Job Summary: Ensures accurate patient accounts through daily auditing of patient accounts. Maximizes revenue by coordinating proper billing of pharmacy charges. Communicates with various departments regarding pharmacy patient accounting issues. Performs the following duties:

Performs daily audits of patient accounts to ensure proper billing of pharmacy items. Maximizes revenue by auditing various charge systems and eliminating any errors.

Responds to pricing inquiries from other departments. Assists other departments in identifying correct pharmacy dosage amounts for charging and pricing purposes. Works with various department managers to correct and educate department on any improper charging.

Communicates daily with Patient Financial Services and Internal Audit/Corporate Compliance. Assists Corporate Compliance Department in the auditing process by providing input, support and documentation for pharmacy charges.

Assist Pharmacy purchasing team (at times > 50% of work day may be spent on purchasing related tasks, especially those related to purchasing regulations).  Duties may include, but are not be limited to:

  • Maintenance of Macrohelix and review of the Stoplight report to monitor 340-B purchasing compliance
  • Maintenance of Consortiex to monitor compliance with DSCSA (track and trace) requirements
  • Implementation of new purchasing contracts from AHSCA in conjunction with manager and buyer
  • Assisting other Navicent facilities with purchasing related issues and initiatives

Providing backup coverage for other auditor position as well as the buyer position as needed

 

Specifications: 1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business preferred. Consideration will be given for a degree in another discipline or substantial experience with pharmacy auditing. 2. Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in auditing, patient financial services or related field required. Prefer 3 years experience at Technician II level or equivalent pharmacy or auditing experience.
