Job Summary: Ensures accurate patient accounts through daily auditing of patient accounts. Maximizes revenue by coordinating proper billing of pharmacy charges. Communicates with various departments regarding pharmacy patient accounting issues. Performs the following duties:

Performs daily audits of patient accounts to ensure proper billing of pharmacy items. Maximizes revenue by auditing various charge systems and eliminating any errors.

Responds to pricing inquiries from other departments. Assists other departments in identifying correct pharmacy dosage amounts for charging and pricing purposes. Works with various department managers to correct and educate department on any improper charging


Specifications: 1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in business preferred. Consideration will be given for a degree in another discipline or substantial experience with pharmacy auditing. 2. Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in auditing, patient financial services or related field required. Prefer 3 years experience at Technician II level or equivalent pharmacy or auditing experience.
