Overview

Job Summary:

Responsible for planning, organizing and supervising the overall operations of assigned shift in Diagnostic Radiology. Provides leadership to ensure shift runs efficiently and effectively.  Ensures compliance of quality patient care, including patient safety and image quality. Works closely with Diagnostic/VIR Manager for guidance on operations and staffing as well as budget compliance. 

Job Requirements:

• Must be a High School or GED Diploma Graduate.  Graduate of a JCERT approved School of Radiologic Technology.                                                                                          
• Minimum of three years of radiology experience preferred.
• Registered (current, valid) ARRT
• Radiologic Technologists and Technologist Assistants
• Must be able to remain calm in stressful situations. Must display courtesy and empathy toward patients, co-workers and physicians. Must be able to make sound judgments and execute the appropriate actions based on the needs of patients and knowledge of departmental policies and procedures. Must have good communication skills and be discrete with confidential information.
• Must be able to use visual acuity to see monitor screen, computer and hard copy materials.  Must be able to hear and verbally communicate in person and over the phone or radio. Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time (up to 2 hours).  Must be able to comprehend and learn operation of various office equipment.
