Overview
This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus! Registered Respiratory Therapists are eligible for a $10,0000 sign-on bonus with a 2-year commitment for full time and some part-time positions. Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates the activities of the Respiratory Care Department to include team member administration, budget development and control, and patient care management. Maintains clinical and professional competence in the supervision and care of patients of all ages.
Essential Functions
Education, Experience and Certifications
Graduate of an AMA-approved school of Respiratory Care required. Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care required. Currently licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner for the state of North Carolina required. Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy with a minimum of five years in a Respiratory Care Department or a RRT equivalent with a minimum of eight to ten years in a Respiratory Care Department required. Working knowledge of all phases of Respiratory Care technology pertinent to this position plus two years of management experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Basic Life Support for healthcare providers thru the American Heart Association required. E vidence of active membership in the national chapter of the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) is required. Advanced certificates per facility policy.
