Overview

The Atrium Health Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is actively seeking an outstanding Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join their growing practice of two full-time Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and three Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery interns. Atrium Health OMFS faculty hold academic appointments at Wake Forest University School of Medicine within the Department of Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery. Surgical services are performed in outpatient and inpatient settings with a focus on dentoalveolar, facial trauma, pathology, orthognathic, and TMJ surgeries. Charlotte’s rapidly expanding population combined with committed institutional support has created a unique opportunity to develop a robust surgical practice amongst supportive colleagues.

 

Further Details:
• Primary responsibility is direct patient care in clinic and hospital settings at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and University City Hospital

• Participation in the Oral and Maxillofacial Service call and Facial Trauma call coverage for our 

level one trauma center

• Coordination of multidisciplinary care in an academic environment

• Clinical and didactic instruction of three Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery non-categorical interns 

• Ample opportunities to participate in ongoing departmental and institutional academic activities including education and research 

• Clinical academic appointment with Wake Forest University School of Medicine 

• Average provider tenure is 10 years

• Surgeons are well compensated with a competitive starting base salary(mid $400K), annual bonus potential, and excellent benefits package

 

Qualifications / Requirements:

• Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible for American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (ABOMS)

• Candidates with dual-degree DDS/DMD, MD preferred

• 5 years of experience preferred
