Overview
This position is sign-on bonus eligible! Experienced RNs are eligible for a bonus of $15,000 for full time positions and $7,500 for part time positions. The CVICU is the pediatric cardiovascular intensive care unit. It is a 10-12 bed unit in which the nurse to patient ratio is typically 1:1 or 1:2. The age population ranges from all pediatric ages, from neonate to 18 years of age. Patient population includes the following: pre-op and post-surgical repair of congenital heart defects; heart transplant; ventricular assist devices; acquired heart disease; ECMO; CRRT; etc. Patients receive intense critical care while in the ICU until patient are stable enough to be moved the Progressive Unit.

Job Summary
The RN Clinical Nurse I provides professional nursing care through skillful assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation in accordance with facility or department policies procedures, and/or protocols under the supervision of the nursing leader. Assists in maintaining a safe work environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency as appropriate to the population of patients served.
