Overview

Responsible for assisting the Accreditation Improvement Manager in administering requirements for the Det Norske Veritas (DNV)-Nationally Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (NIAHO) standards, Centers for Medicare/Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital Conditions of Participation, International Organization for Standardization (ISO), and Department of Community Health (DCH); provides support for compliance and survey initiatives for assigned Navicent Health facilities; coordinates accreditation, state, and federal preparedness activities; instructs and supports assigned Navicent Health entity in regards to applicable regulatory requirements; communicates with hospital leadership regarding audit visits, requirements, compliance, and surveys. The Accreditation Improvement Coordinator is also responsible for analysis of Accreditation-related data using tools created for managing department data and communicating to hospital leadership the results of clinical analysis used for data forecasting. The Accreditation Improvement Consult is responsible for making decisions independently, when necessary, that best represents the assigned entity. The position also requires a high degree of discretion be maintained due to the nature of issues and circumstances for which he/she will be asked to provide consultation. Unforeseen issues and circumstances may require the employee to respond at times that best meet the needs of the organization. The employee is given autonomy and is empowered to make independent decisions on how to best support the organization when unplanned situations occur.

What is required:

  • Bachelor degree required; Professional licensure, certifications and/or Master Degree required.
  • Four (4) to six (6) years experience in healthcare or direct field preferred. 
  • Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional (HACP) required within two (2) years of hire 
  • Strong verbal and written communication: Must have the ability to clearly communicate verbally, in person, and in writing with patients, families/agencies and the health care team.
  • Flexibility to travel to AHN facilities and other regional facilities in personal vehicle often; must have current state driver's license.
