Overview

Job Summary

Serves as the primary manager for Atrium Health's life safety compliance documentation program as it expands to an enterprise service.  In addition, this position will assist with on-site life safety surveys, barrier management plan reviews, and engaging in plan review for construction projects.  

Essential Functions

• Manage the life safety compliance (eLSCB and Toolbox) documentation program for Atrium Health.
• Coordinates development of standardized reporting and implements an effective audit program for the eLSCB to assure compliance.
• Conducts on-site life safety surveys (both mock and real) across the enterprise. 
• Assists with the development of policies and procedures at the enterprise, facility, and department level.
• Coordinates collection, organization, and analysis of survey information, and corrective actions, including action plans.
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships within the System and with professional organizations and other healthcare organizations, municipal services, and regulatory authorities.
• Develops, tracks, and reports on analytics related to life safety survey findings and eLSCB audit processes.
• Implements and oversees special projects as assigned.
• Provide vendor support under the Atrium Health fire and life safety services contract.

Physical Requirements

Works in an office environment sitting, standing, and walking. Works with standard office equipment (computer, telephone, fax, copter, etc.). May spend time in a healthcare facility or support services setting. Must be able to carry up to 15 pounds. Travel to other facilities is required. Responsible for working in a safe manner.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree required, but a mix of education and substantial experience will be considered. Master's Degree preferred. 5 to 7 years experience in related discipline required. 3 years experience in healthcare preferred. Professional licensure or certification (i.e. PE, AIA) preferred.
