Overview

Job Summary

Coordinate and monitor the daily work activities and performance of personnel in the assigned area.  Also responsible for alerting management of any changes or issues that could potentially impact the department or organization.


Essential Functions

  • Assists the Manager/ Director/ AVP/ or VP in all functions pertaining to the department.
  • Assists in maintaining up-to-date policies and procedures for the department.
  • Trains personnel, assist with performance appraisals, and monitors staff adherence to policy and procedures which includes HIPPA regulations.
  • Oversees, reviews and delegates assignments to appropriate personnel.
  • Follows-up on delegated assignments to ensure accuracy and timeliness of completion.
  • Assumes supervisory duties in absence of Manager.
  • Assists in the interviewing and hiring practices of the department.
  • Assists with all human Resource functions, including time reporting and disciplinary actions.
  • Performs quality audits and shares feedback with staff in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate department records which include but not limited to time recording, performance tracking, and telecommuter logs.
  • Provides customer service to internal and external customers when needed which includes but not limited to handling irate phone calls, providing feedback and cross training. 

Physical Requirements

Work in fast-paced office environment with numerous interruptions. Work requires good concentration, detail-oriented, and ability to make sound decision at rapid pace. This position requires long periods of sitting throughout the day. Must be physically able to move around the office daily and often, as well as move to other facility offices both on-site and off-site. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. Must be able to reach and bend on a moderate level.


Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred. Patient Accounting experience required.
