Manager | Nurse Education and Professional Development

Overview

Responsible for development, implementation, and management and evaluation of educational systems, technologies, programs, projects and processes to support successful achievement of organizational mission, vision and business goals. Provides leadership and direction for operation of clinical staff development and continuing education. Is highly visible and can function in both the clinical and administrative settings. Administers affiliations between organization and external educational facilities including contract maintenance, student placement, and faculty relationships. Facilitates department based education model and council.

Requirements:

• Master of Science in Nursing with focus in nursing education required.
• Four years experience in complex healthcare system/organization; 3 years demonstrated competence and progressive experience in adult education and management/leadership. A minimum of 5 years clinical experience required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Georgia is required. Professional certification in Nursing Professional Development (per ANCC) or relevant specialty required.
