Job Summary

Supports the Purchased Services Value Optimization (PSVO) leadership and teams (design, negotiate, measurement and implementation) by conducting various purchased services category/contract specific analysis including spend, affordability, realized savings, contract and procure to pay lifecycles, and compliance. The Contract Analyst creates and develops purchased services departmental repositories, metrics and benchmarking in collaboration with services teams. This position works under the direct supervision of the Director of Contract Analytics

Essential Functions

  • Provides financial, quantitative, qualitative analytical support for spend compliance and contract performance benchmarking.
  • Develops and maintains purchased services teams’ metrics for performance measurement.
  • Establishes benchmarks to measure departmental performance as compared to other internal, regional, and/or national organizations/teams.
  • Responsible for maintaining service contracts repository and renewal dates with lifecycle compliance.
  • Reviews contract portfolio and bid calendar alignment with departmental contract assignments to ensure the integrity of the data is maintained consistently.
  • Coordinates efforts, as necessary, with the purchased services teams to ensure accuracy of data/metrics for reporting to executive level management.
  • Reviews various online tools for contract conversion and optimization opportunities, contract compliance issues, etc. to provide additional savings or areas for performance improvement.
  • Directly supports purchased services design, negotiation, implementation and measurement teams’ activities and projects as directed by the team leadership

Physical Requirements

Stretching and bending required to access files and assist in conducting physical inventories. Manual dexterity for keying and retrieving data from automated systems. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. May lift to twenty pounds occasionally. Must be able to handle many varied, time sensitive and stressful tasks and assign priorities and individuals appropriately.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Bachelor's Degree with concentration in healthcare, supply chain, accounting, finance, informatics, economics, business or related field required. Master's degree in business, Health Administration, or Informatics. CMRP, lean management or other related certifications preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years in supply chain/procurement, healthcare or business analytics setting required. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft products and experience with Business Intelligence tools.
