Overview

Job Summary

Performs all clerical functions necessary to organize and sort mail. Performs routine but varied clerical and general office duties that provide staff support depending on the needs of the department.



Essential Functions

  • Maintains records, prepares forms, verifies information and resolves routine problems as it pertains to Mail Services and FedEx.
  • Retrieves and processes mail.
  • Sorts mail and all other documents.
  • Pulls and delivers mail and interoffice documents.
  • Operates mail service vehicle.
  • Interacts with teams to solve concerns.

     

Physical Requirements

 

Work consistently requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support weight of 20 pounds in handling medical records, office equipment, and supplies. Possible exposure to communicable diseases. Intact senses of sight, hearing, smell and touch. Manual finger dexterity.



Education, Experience and Certifications

High School Diploma or GED required. 2 years clerical experience preferred. Basic computer knowledge preferred.
