Overview
CCU is a 10-bed unit that focuses on the care of the critically ill patient with medical diagnoses and complications. CCU also cares for adult/geriatric patients whose complex medical and/or surgical needs require invasive monitoring and/or mechanical ventilation.
CVICU is a 26-bed unit primarily caring for cardiothoracic/vascular surgical patients. CVICU teammates provide specialized intensive monitoring, including cardiac and temporary pacing monitoring.
CV Stepdown is a 24-bed private telemetry unit whose primary focus is caring for cardiothoracic/vascular surgical, pre-operative and post-operative progressive care patients, and also cares and supports med/surg overflow patients.
MICU is 14-bed unit that focuses in the care of the critically ill patient with medical diagnoses and complications. Patient populations can include respiratory disease, diabetic complications, renal disease and may other complex medical conditions.
NICU is a 22-bed clinical unit caring primarily for patients with a variety of neurological injuries and/or impairments. This unit offers specialized, continuous nursing care for neurologically ill or injured patients who can benefit from either intensive monitoring and/or intensive treatment.

The CCA is a competency-based orientation program that includes:
bedside experience with a dedicated Preceptor
didactic classes utilizing, in part, the Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses)
seminars which help to connect the didactic learning with the clinical experience
simulation labs to increase assessment, competency, and critical thinking skills.
Compassionate leadership and teammates
Teamwork and support staff of clinical techs, unit secretaries and ancillary departments
