Medical Assistant Certified-AHNMG Quality

Overview

Under the supervision of the Quality Improvement & Population Health Manager, the Quality Improvement Coordinator for Atrium Health Navicent Medical Group (AHNMG) is responsible for supporting the primary care practice(s) in Quality improvement initiatives.  Some responsibilities include but are not limited to - providing patient outreach and support for AHNMG practices to ensure optimal population health management for preventive care and chronic disease management of patients. The Quality Improvement Coordinator will assist in identifying quality care needs for AHNMG Primary Care patients, facilitating access to both internal and external resources/services, monitoring the patient's progress, documentation in the EMR and tracking provider/practice performance.

Education:  Completion of a state approved Vo-Tech School in Certified Medical Assisting.  Current Certification as a Medical Assistant.
 
Experience: Eighteen months or more of medical-surgical background and physician office nursing experience is preferred.  Computer knowledge and skills is preferred. HEDIS or quality/incentive knowledge is a plus.
 
Certification/License/Registration:  Must hold a current certification.
