Overview

What will you do:

Under relatively close supervision performs routine repair, calibrates, tests, and maintain all types of basic clinical equipment, devices, instruments, and systems. Inspect, install, and provide preventive maintenance of general clinical equipment, and life support devices.

Major job functions:

Troubleshoots and repairs a broad range of clinical equipment and system malfunctions.

Performs planned maintenance, safety tests, and calibrates medical equipment as directed utilizing specialized equipment.

Participates in equipment evaluations, installations, and upgrades as assigned.

Performs incoming inspections, attach and assign control numbers and labels, and acquires the necessary information for accurate database inventory entries.

Possesses proficiency in the proper operation and testing of clinical equipment.

Performs all tasks in strict adherence to the departmental Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and Work Instructions.

Maintains accurate and thorough documentation and record keeping.

What will you need:

High School education or GED

Actively enrolled in a 2 year Electronics Technology or Biomedical Engineering Program
