The International Medical Outreach Program (IMO) is a collaborative partnership between Heineman-Robicsek Medical Outreach, Inc. (HRMO) and Atrium Health. HRMO is a non-profit organization and closely collaborates with Atrium Health to support international medical outreach projects in developing countries through the IMO program. 

 

Job Summary 

This part-time position, approximately 18 to 24 hours per week, focuses on accounting and other administrative duties. Candidate will work closely with Executive Director to run day-to-day operations of a small non-profit corporation. The position is remote with in-person meetings from time to time.

Accounting: 

Annual audit preparations with audit firm 

Prepare and disburse monthly budget report 

Track expenses for restricted projects 

Collaborative Projects (process & track deposits – expenses) 

Work with Executive Director to establish annual budget. 

Make deposits 

 

Donations 

Process:   

Deposit 

Track in donor software program 

Prepare tax donation acknowledgement letters 

 

Solicitation Licenses:  NC / SC 

Annual applications / along with financial report & fee 

 

Meetings:  Board / Executive / Medical Advisors 

Schedule meetings 

Communication with members 

Collect and prepare meeting materials 

Draft minutes 

Collect conflict of interest forms and submit to accountant 

 

Insurance: 

Employee. Compare and renew policy each year 

Worker’s Comp:  complete annual audit form 

Directors & Officers:  complete annual application 

Commercial Property / Liability 

 

Special Projects 

Support special projects as requested 

 

Essential Functions 

Navigate a Windows based PC environment 

Proficiency / Utilize computer software applications, i.e. QuickBooks, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access.  

Although travel is seldom, candidate should own a car and be willing / able to travel occasionally to local meetings and other local locations for special projects.  

 

Physical Requirements 

Majority of day is sitting.  Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. 

 

Education, Experience and Certifications 

High School Diploma, associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or 5-years of administrative support experience in an office environment.
