Overview

Job Summary

Responsible for reviewing and evaluating complex agreements. The Senior Sponsored Programs Coordinator is also responsible for various advanced administrative functions including budgets, contracts, reports and other requirements necessary to manage Sponsored Programs either within Sponsored Programs Administration, a unit of the Finance Division dedicated to serving the Sponsored Programs community, or within the clinical or programmatic department responsible for the Sponsored Program.



Essential Functions

  • Responsible for understanding and have the ability to learn, adapt to, and mentor teammates regarding changing technologies related to administration of sponsored programs.
  • Read, analyze and interpret sponsored program related documentation i.e. guidelines, contracts and funding documents.
  • Serves as liaison among teammates, principal investigators/program directors, and sponsoring agencies.
  • Identify and negotiate, and manage budgetary and contractual terms and conditions.
  • Develop and adhere to policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Will utilize EPIC, OnCore, Cayuse, etc
  • Participate in and assist with ongoing training and education activities to remain current on applicable guidelines and regulations.

     

Physical Requirements

 

Work requires frequent walking, standing and prolonged sitting. Work requires lifting up to 15 pounds.



Education, Experience and Certifications

Minimum 3 years of related experience. 4 year degree from accredited college or university. Knowledge of basic and advanced administrative concepts of sponsored program administration.  Accounting and/or financial management is preferred.
