Clinical Tech - Days - Baldwin

Overview

What will you do:
Under the direction of the RN, performs additional delegated duties and responsibilities beyond a Clinical Technician I. Must demonstrate competency in basic direct patient care and throughput processes. Must demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal, teamwork, organization and prioritization skills. Is responsible for designated equipment and supplies used in the care of assigned patients. Must be flexible in changing assignments, workload and learning new skills. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.

What will you need:
High school diploma or GED
Must be certified nursing assistant or medical assistant or technician or mental health techician
1yr experience in medical facility

Internal transfer candidates must have completed all clinical tech I competencies and have demonstrated successful for at least three months after competencies completed. Unit Secretaries with one year Navicent Health experience as a unit secretary may be considered. If hired, former unit secretary must complete competencies of clinical tech I and clinical tech II within six weeks of hire. A medical facility is defined as a nursing home, hospital or clinic and does not include private in-home care.
