Formulates and defines specifications for complex operating, messaging, and directory systems. Modifies and maintains complex existing messaging, directory, and operating systems using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer. Designs, tests, debugs and documents systems. Usually responsible for client application and system troubleshooting.
Maintains within established levels, the technical performance of Microsoft Teams, Active Directory and Exchange based hardware and software.
Must be able to author new as well as modify existing PowerShell scripts tasks, reports, and functions.
Provides responsive support to clients, technical, administrative, and other departmental personnel.
Monitor’s system performance, makes recommendations, and takes appropriate action to insure the best performance per utilization of computer resources.
Advises IS staff on proper data administration and program design to improve capabilities of existing programs and systems.
Supports O365, Active Directory, Exchange, and RightFax products.
Need to understand mobility as it pertains to Teams and Exchange policies.
Works with vendors on system installation and setup.
Recommends and implements solutions, understanding the ramifications for problems within Information Services.
Work is subject to high-level visibility through exposure to CHS administration. Requires a high degree of proficiency in verbal and written communications. Must be available for callback support on a regular basis, extensive evening and weekend hours due to schedules at times for conversions, training required. Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Education, Experience and Certifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or job related field preferred.
The ideal applicant will have: Extensive working knowledge of Microsoft Teams/O365. Able to troubleshoot client side software for both Teams and Outlook. Should have solid knowledge of PowerShell for maintaining systems; Knowledge of DNS, networking, mail transport, and certificates. Need to understand Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS) and how it works with Office 365; Defines protocol for working with customers and appropriately balances needs and resources; Develops and implements process improvement initiatives within Information Services.
