Job SummaryResponsible for supporting day to day quality management and performance improvement activities for assigned facilities and collaborates with leadership to promote continuous survey readiness.
Must have the ability to clearly communicate verbally, in person, and in writing with patients, families, agencies and the health care team. Works in an office environment. Requires long periods of sitting and computer use.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred. RN or other clinical licensure preferred; certification in health care quality, patient safety or related accreditation entity preferred, required within 2 years of employment. 4 to 6 years experience in healthcare or directly related field and 2 to 4 years leadership experience preferred. Knowledge of Lean Concepts preferred. Intermediate to advanced computer skills with demonstration of skill and competence in use of all Microsoft Office applications preferred. Previous experience or knowledge of TJC preferred.
Priority will be given to candidates with experience coaching health professionals through QI projects, including use of aim statements, data analysis, and project management. Ability to appropriately and professionally handle multiple and competing priorities required. Ability to work autonomously with little direct supervision and to maintain an organized workload required. Ability to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a changing work environment required. Must demonstrate appropriate service orientation in all interactions within the organization and with clients, participants, visitors, and faculty. Must demonstrate confidentiality with clinical, management, and other organizational data/information. Interpersonal required skills include the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally with individuals at all levels of health care provision. Must demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills with the capacity to anticipate and identify ever-changing needs for the practices as they arise.
