Job Summary

The physician is a patient-centered, system-oriented teammate who manages the care of all patients within their primary practice/clinical setting.  The physician leads an interdisciplinary team to perform assigned clinical duties, while displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct as well as acting in the best interest of Atrium Health, supporting our mission, vision and values. 

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), in collaboration with the Musculoskeletal Institute (MSKI) at Atrium Health, is seeking a BE/BC Sports Medicine Physiatrist to join our practice in the Charlotte metro area. Atrium Health offers the most advanced musculoskeletal care in the Southeast, including more than 200 physicians collaborating in the areas of sports medicine, orthopedic surgery, and spine care within the MSKI.

In conjunction with the PM&R Department, candidates will have the opportunity to develop a strong clinical practice with local high school affiliations while remaining a core member of the faculty for both PM&R and the MSKI. The MSKI has affiliations and provides coverage for many local high school teams, universities, semi-pro and professional teams in area. Opportunities exist for growth in research, education, and care pathways. 

Ideal candidates should have an interest in sports team coverage, resident and fellow education, and academic growth. Proficiency with ultrasound for diagnosis and treatment is required. This position will also provide the opportunity for education, both within the clinic and in didactic sessions, for PM&R residents. Candidates will also participate in shared call coverage.
