Overview

4-Main CV Stepdown is a 24-bed private telemetry unit whose primary focus is caring for cardiothoracic/vascular surgical, pre-operative and post-operative progressive care patients, and also cares and supports med/surg overflow patients.   

4M Teammates' mission is to provide patients with the highest level of safe, quality clinical care using evidence-based practice and an outstanding patient/family experience with respect, caring and kindness.   CV Stepdown teammates new to critical care are enrolled in the Critical Care Academy (CCA).

What you can expect:  

  • The CCA is a competency-based orientation program that includes:  

    • bedside experience with a dedicated Preceptor 

    • didactic classes utilizing, in part, the Essentials of Critical Care Orientation (from the American Association of Critical Care Nurses) 

    • seminars which help to connect the didactic learning with the clinical experience 

    • simulation labs to increase assessment, competency, and critical thinking skills.

What you will need: 

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing 

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in nursing 

  • Current valid Georgia nursing license or eNLC nursing license  

  • Current nursing student graduating from an accredited RN education program are welcome to apply.
