Navicent Health Physician Group (NHPG) is seeking a fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon to join our Division of Colo-rectal/Surgical Oncology. We are in the beautiful and historic Macon, Georgia. Macon is situated south of metropolitan Atlanta and within driving distance to the mountains and barrier islands of Georgia. NHPG is an established multispecialty group of 200 + clinicians providing professional medical services to the hospital entities of Medical Center Navicent Health, Navicent Health Baldwin and Medical Center Peach, as well as, the patients in the communities served by Atrium Navicent Health. The Medical Center Navicent Health, as the second largest hospital in Georgia, is a 637-bed level one trauma center. Atrium Health Navicent has seen phenomenal growth and expansion fostered by a cohesive Physician and Administrative leadership team striving toward a common goal of excellent patient care and outcomes through demonstration of our values of Integrity, Respect, Ownership and Caring.
The NHPG practice is in the Peyton Anderson Cancer Center (PACC) and is affiliated with the Levine Cancer Institute (LCI) of Atrium Health (formerly Carolinas HealthCare) based in Charlotte, North Carolina. As we partner with LCI, we strengthen our ability to provide top-quality cancer care through an organized and efficient delivery system for all our patients in Central Georgia. Our partnership with LCI will increase access to clinical trials and investigator-initiated research giving our patients earlier and better access to new therapeutics. The PACC has Surgical Specialists, Medical Oncology, and Radiation Oncology onsite and is Commission on Cancer accredited. We are currently applying for the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer through the American College of Surgeons. Upon completion, we will be one of the first centers approved in the Southeast. We are academically affiliated with Mercer University School of Medicine and have clinical learners rotate on our service as well as General Surgery Residents actively involved with clinical care and research. · Membership in a Physician led and governed multidisciplinary medical group
· Dedicated Oncology Service Line Physician and Administrator
· Advanced minimally invasive surgery including robotic surgery for benign and malignant disease and TAMIS procedures
· Total anorectal and pelvic floor care in collaboration with Urogynecology. Including anorectal physiologic testing, pelvic floor physical therapy and Interstim procedures
· Outpatient anorectal procedures and colonoscopy
