Oversees and maintains medical equipment technology. Provides support and education for all clinical and diagnostic equipment, and other multimedia technology. To install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of medical video equipment, endoscopic equipment, microscopes, and specialized technology equipment
• Coordinates activities relative to new equipment acquisitions, space plans, equipment modification on various equipment configurations.
• Maintains inventory of equipment and related materials; provides leadership with recommendations for replacement purchases.
• Coordinates assignments with surgery schedule to ensure efficiency of daily schedule.
Requires experience with electrical and electronic circuitry that may contain high voltages and electromagnetic fields. Requires frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, walking, standing, stooping and reaching. Requires vision (corrected) and hearing (corrected). Possible exposure to chemicals, pathogens, and items contaminated with blood and other body fluids.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Associates Degree in Electronics or Biomedical Equipment Technology and background in electronics required. Must possess ability to interpret complicated schematic diagrams, write equipment specifications and execute advanced technical test procedures. A high level of accuracy is required for all levels of work.
