Overview

Patient Access Manager (Registration/Scheduling)

Summary of duties:
Assists in evaluating, directing, and maintaining the registration hub processes focused primarily on all interactions with patients.
Ensures that processes can meet the patient expectations while maintaining integrity of patient billing information as set forth by the Director of Revenue Cycle.
Provides direct and general supervision to the patient access teammates. 
Accountable for assisting the Director in providing patient/customer focused services for the medical necessity of bedded patients as well as any issues arising with authorization.
Relying heavily on related technology ensuring all dealings with the public are handled in an exceptionally, professional manner. Is the insurance expert performing all accurate and timely registration functions in Meditech.
Assists patients with rapid registrations for walk-in patients and monitors all patients’ check-in process taking necessary action when check-in failures or changes to patient’s information occurs and possess superior problem-solving skills.
Assists with cash collections and accurate gathering of insurance information in accordance with EMTALA regulations.  

What is required:
Bachelor’s degree in a Communication, Business, or Healthcare related field
Four (4) years experience in Business, Healthcare, Insurance, Financial, Customer Service or related field
CFC, CPAR, CHAA, or other approved Access Navigation certification required within 1 year of accepting the position
