This is a clinical role which requires a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Hospitalist or MD credential.
The Director of Clinical Value Analysis – Materials Resource Management directs Atrium Health Supply Chain Alliance’ Process Enhancement/Product Standardization teams (“PEPS”) in the clinically appropriate and cost-effective selection of medical/surgical products and services. Performs multi-supplier product evaluation and cross-referencing activities in support of PEPS activities. Maintains communication with Atrium Health Supply Chain Alliance (“AHSCA”) Member System clinical product teams. Directs the activities of AHSCA Clinical Value Analysis Facilitators. Coordinates all CVA communication with AHSCA MRM Contracts team and Premier high-commitment supply contract programs. Also oversees AHSCA Physician Preference Item (PPI) Program, collaborating with physicians throughout the membership to share clinical rationales for product selection and facilitate system-wide decision making.
Work requires sitting at desk for prolonged periods of time while working at the computer or on telephone. Requires the ability to deal effectively with the business partners or internal customers, promoting a positive image for the System. Must speak basic English very well. Includes travel to participating GPO facilities and affiliate sites. Good computer, keyboarding, and software (Microsoft) skills required.Education, Training, and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree and Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Hospitalist or MD Required.
Must communicate effectively at all levels within Atrium Health, Atrium Supply Chain Alliance, Supplier base and with the public. Excellent planning, prioritizing, oral/written communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and team skills required. Ability to work collaboratively as a team member and respond creatively to a rapidly changing environment. High tolerance for ambiguity. Flexibility and ability to continuously adapt to new information. Communication, negotiation, listening and feedback skills critical. Service orientation is required. Clinical med/surg supply product and utilization methodology knowledge preferred. Personal computer skills, Microsoft Office software (i.e. MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) required. Aptitude for learning supply chain analytical tools required.Patient Population Served
