Job Summary
Performs laboratory research with minimal supervision. Assists in the design and development of experiments, including the development of new methodologies. Directs all aspects of the biochemical laboratory environment. Assists in the analyses and preparation of data for publication and presentation, and provides support to primary investigators.

Will be exposed to chemical solutions. Works in a laboratory environment and interacts with people at many professional/technical levels.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Bachelors Degree required. Masters Degree preferred. 3 years of experience in related scientific field preferred. Ability to calculate and formulate chemical solutions, experience with pertinent equipment, and familiarity with techniques for examining oxygen free radicals, mitochondrial function, enzymology preferred. Experience with small animal surgeries and experience working with mouse models of disease preferred. Experience with mouse xenograft models and with stereotactic surgical techniques preferred. Experience with molecular biology and biochemistry techniques beneficial.
