Registered Nurse – Transitional Care Unit

What You'll Need:

  • Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire

What You'll Do:

As a Registered Nurse in the Transitional Care Unit, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and efficient care to patients in urgent medical situations. Utilizing your expertise, critical thinking, and communication skills, you will be instrumental in assessing, diagnosing, and coordinating care to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients during their time of need.

Essential Functions:

  1. Patient/Family Centered Care: Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, placing patients and their families at the center of every decision. Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promote optimal health and wellbeing in accordance with the policies of WFBH.
  2. Safe, Therapeutic, and Healing Environment: Create a secure and healing environment by safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior. Embrace technology and equipment to enhance patient and staff safety.
  3. Effective Communication: Demonstrate excellent communication skills to foster collaboration among the healthcare team, facilitating information sharing throughout the continuum of care. Active participation in our professional practice model and shared governance initiatives will promote teamwork, leadership, and clinical excellence.
  4. Professional Growth and Accountability: Function effectively in a professional setting by actively participating in peer review, professional development, and adherence to care standards. Exhibit effective team skills, autonomous practice, and critical thinking, acknowledging accountability for actions.
  5. Patient Advocacy: Act as a passionate patient advocate throughout the continuum of care, advocating for their needs and preferences in all patient settings, including the community.
  6. Care Management and Clinical Prioritization: Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services by applying care management principles. Identify clinical priorities and initiate action to continuously improve patient outcomes.

Pay Range

$34.90 - $52.35
