Located in Abermarle, NC on 9 acres, Atrium Health Stanly Manor is an award-winning nursing and rehabilitation facility with 90 beds. We provide short term rehab, long term care, palliative care, and hospice care and are committed to enhancing the quality of life and well-being of all our residents. There is a MD or PA/NP on site 4-5 days a week. Job Summary
Supervises and coordinates facility activities with emphasis upon communications, resident throughput, patient experience, rounding for quality, safety and operational efficiency, performance improvement activities, service recovery, and compliance with regulatory requirements interacting with nursing and facility teammates in daily operations. Authorized to act as the administrative designee on behalf of and in cooperation with Administration responding to immediate needs or as requested by the Administrator-On-Call to investigate or respond to requests for information, follow-up or assistance with complaint investigations or emergency events. Promotes a safe environment and performs all related job responsibilities in a safe manner. Maintains clinical and professional competency in the supervision of resident care.
Essential Functions
Physical Requirements
Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling residents, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English fluently. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity. Physical abilities testing required. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate. Must be able to respond quickly to changes in resident and / or unit/department conditions. Additional department specific physical requirements may be identified for unique responsibilities within the department by the nurse leader.
Education, Experience and Certifications
Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing. Current RN license in the state in which you work and reside or; if declaring a National License Compact (NLC) state as your primary state of residency, meet the licensure requirements in your home state; or for Non-National License Compact states, current RN license required in the state where the RN works. BLS required per policy guidelines. Two years nursing experience preferred, preferably in long-term care. BSN preferred. Certification in gerontological nursing preferred. Additional education, training, certifications, or experience may be required within the department by the nurse leader.
