Overview

Join the region’s premier healthcare leader at Atrium Health Navicent and become part of a dedicated team delivering specialized, life-sustaining care to patients receiving dialysis in our Acute Inpatient Dialysis Unit. As an LPN in this fast-paced and clinically diverse environment, you will play a critical role in supporting dialysis treatments for patients across various hospital units, including ICU settings.

What You’ll Do:

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care under the supervision of a registered nurse in accordance with the Georgia Board of Nursing Practice Act
  • Perform and monitor hemodialysis and plasmapheresis treatments per approved policies and procedures
  • Access grafts/fistulas and initiate dialysis using unit protocols
  • Operate and troubleshoot dialysis machines and equipment
  • Administer IV medications and blood products as ordered
  • Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition, including critical care situations
  • Provide bedside dialysis care to critically ill patients
  • Assist with patient and family education, supporting understanding of treatment plans and resources
  • Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and satisfaction
  • Document care, treatments, and patient responses in compliance with hospital policies
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, patient-centered care, and clinical excellence

What You Bring:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Practical Nursing
  • Active Georgia LPN license and current BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 1 year LPN experience preferred; dialysis experience highly desired
  • Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative care team
  • Willingness to float to patient bedsides throughout the hospital (ICU, Med/Surg, etc.)
