Our Infusion Center provides infusion and injectable treatments for a variety of chronic diseases in an outpatient setting with dedicated support from nurses and an APP.   

Position Highlights:

  • Float to Abbey Place, Kenilworth, Pineville,
    • Abbey Place Infusion site in Center City (office hours Monday–Friday 7:30 am – 6:00 pm)
      • No nights, weekends and no call
      • 15 infusion chairs with 4 chairs in a pod, managed by 5 RNs
      • Max of 35 infusions per day, with some infusions lasting up to 6-8 hours
      • Triage patients and manage reactions to infusions
      • Communicate with ordering providers regarding patient status, as appropriate
    • Kenilworth site in Uptown Charlotte (office hours Monday–Friday 7:30am – 6:00pm)
      • No nights, weekends and no call
      • 20 infusion chairs with 4 chairs in a pod, managed by 5RNs
      • Max of 35 infusions per day, with some infusions lasting up to 6-8 hours
      • Triage patients and manage reactions to infusions
      • Communicate with ordering providers regarding patient status, as appropriate
    • Pineville site in South Charlotte (office hours Monday–Friday 7:30am – 6pm)
      • No nights, weekends and no call
      • 11-13 infusion chairs with 2-3 chairs in a pod, managed by 4 RNs
      • Max of 28 infusions per day, with some infusions lasting up to 6 hours
      • Triage patients and manage reactions to infusions
      • Communicate with ordering providers regarding patient status, as appropriate
  • Virtually assist RNs at other Atrium Health Infusion Center sites (Concord, Cabarrus, SouthPark)
  • Participate in care design and workflow, including assisting in infusion Therapy Plan orders and updates
  • Access to additional System level care management resources and virtual technology
  • Using clinical expertise to assist non-clinical teammates with authorizations
