Overview
The Echo Technician uses ultrasonic equipment to produce images and Doppler flow analysis for physicians to diagnosis heart conditions. He/she
uses the Echo system to make a permanent record, reviews test results with physicians and performs other procedures including transporting
patients, portable echocardiograms, injecting non-radioactive contrast agents, starting IV’s and off-campus Echocardiograms.
EDUCATION REQUIRED
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited program OR
Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years experience performing Echocardiograms OR 4 years on-the-job-training and experience as an Echocardiographer

LICENSURES OR CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Registered or verified Registry eligible by ARDMS or CCI in Adult Echocardiography within 1 year
BLS certification
LICENSURES OR CERTIFICATIONS PREFERRED

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
At least two years ECHO experience in a hospital setting
