Academic Outpatient Psychiatrist – Faculty Position in NC

Position: Outpatient Psychiatrist
Location: Jonestown Road, Winston-Salem, NC
Schedule: Full-time (8 half-days per week, with half-day administrative time)

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Outpatient Psychiatrist to join our dynamic practice in Winston-Salem, NC. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a well-supported environment with a focus on providing high-quality care to both geriatric and general adult patient populations. Our practice offers the opportunity for academic involvement, making it ideal for those interested in teaching the next generation of psychiatrists.

Current Openings:

  • Addiction & Substance Abuse Psychiatry - (OP Addiction Program, TMS Clinic, MAT Clinic, Neuro-modulation Clinics)
  • Geropsychiatry

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient psychiatric care to geriatric patients and general adult patients.
  • Perform initial evaluations, develop treatment plans, and manage medications.
  • Offer follow-up care including psychotherapy and medication management.
  • Collaborate with a supportive multidisciplinary team, including 6 adult outpatient physicians and 3 adult outpatient APPs.
  • Participate in academic teaching and mentoring for medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of patient care and practice operations.

Qualifications:

  • MD/DO
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
  • Fellowship-trained
  • Passion for teaching and mentoring future psychiatrists
  • North Carolina licensure or eligibility
