Work in a Supportive & Collaborative Environment:
Join our growing Cardiothoracic Surgery team of 5 cardiac surgeons, 2 thoracic surgeons, and 21 APPs, performing over 1,200 open heart surgery cases a year. We provide patient-focused care and communicate openly to address a variety of conditions. In this surgical role within an academic practice, you’ll collaborate with attending surgeons, surgery APPs, and staff, with opportunities for educational and scholarly activities. While teamwork and open communication are essential, we also encourage and support autonomy within our collaborative environment. What You’ll Do:
As a valued member of our Operating Room team, the PA/ACNP will play a key role in team-focused patient care, conducting thorough examinations and evaluations in surgical settings. Rotating Weekend and Night coverage required. Responsibilities include:
The clinician functions under the regulatory mandate from their respective licensing organization (North Carolina Medical Board or North Carolina Board of Nursing) with departmental specific credentialing from the institution.
